Between a Rock and a Hard Place collection features wooded volumes that are pressed and pushed into each other, creating self-supporting structures that pose a function: a side table, shelf, and a rocking bench. The pieces have a very sculptural and bodily quality, with their shapes and forms resembling human gestures and postures, evoking a sense of intimacy and connection. Each piece is crafted by hand from local cherry wood, with its unique color, grain, and ring pattern adding a gentle yet distinct character to the design.
